What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a client-driven process that empowers individuals to take charge of their lives and determine their own goals. The coach works alongside the client, focusing on actions and the future to help them move forward. By addressing behaviors, skills, and external solutions, coaching helps clients overcome barriers, develop strengths, and implement new strategies. Through powerful questions, life coaching guides clients to discover their potential, set a clear direction, and take intentional steps toward building the life they desire.

Coaching vs. Counseling

Life coaching and counseling serve different purposes, though both aim to support personal growth. Counseling focuses on healing and addressing past challenges, such as emotional trauma or mental health struggles, by exploring underlying issues and providing therapeutic support. In contrast, life coaching is future-focused and action-oriented, helping clients set goals, develop skills, and create strategies to move forward in specific areas of their lives. While counseling often delves into emotional healing, life coaching emphasizes personal development, accountability, and achieving tangible results. Both can complement each other, depending on an individual’s needs. If you have more questions about these important differences, don’t hesitate to ask!

“What if i don’t have a relationship with Jesus? Can you still work with me?”

That’s a great question and one I hear especially from teens as they get to know me. The heart of my work is to share Christ’s love with everyone—not just those who already have a relationship with Jesus. Everyone’s faith journey is unique, and that’s part of the beauty of God’s love. Some clients ask to pray before every session, while others may not feel ready to talk about their faith, and that’s okay. In life coaching, you are in charge! As your life coach, it’s important to know that in all I do, I aim to reflect God’s love through my words, actions, and how I approach each session.
